Why September isn’t the Harvest Moon this year: The Harvest Moon title goes to the full moon closest to the September equinox. “Supermoon” isn’t an official IAU term, but widely used for a full moon that occurs when the Moon is within ~90% of its closest approach (perigee). In 2025 those are:
